There are three main ways to get to Big Bear--through San Bernardino (the front way, through Victorville (the back way), and through Redlands (the long way). All take about two and a half hours in good conditions and with little traffic. If there's snow, the Victorville way gets you there easiest (and also has the fewest turns). The shortest way is through San Bernardino. Both it and the Redlands way are woodsy and scenic.
